Mangaluru: Workshop on nutrition and role of adults in child development held at Vamanjoor

Mangaluru, Sep 19: A workshop on the importance of nutrition and the role of adults in child development was organised by Dharma Jyothi Social Centre, Vamanjoor, on September 18 under the joint collaboration of Anganwadi Centre, Bhagambila – Derlakatte and School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangaluru.

The resource person, Renita, explained in detail how nutritious food plays a vital role in children's growth and development, and how adults should care for and observe children effectively.

President of the Balavikas Centre Praveen, local health officer Rashmi, president of the local Panchayat, and Asha workers were present at the event.

A total of 42 young children and adults attended the programme. Sr Priya, a BSW student from the School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, compered the programme.
