Traditional Day - Parampara 2025 held at Srinivas University, Institute of Aviation Studies

Mangaluru, Sep 16: The Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, organised its annual cultural celebration, Traditional Day-Parampara 2025, reflecting the essence of India’s diverse traditions. The event, held on September 15 showcased the spirit of unity in diversity, reflecting India’s rich cultural heritage.

The formal programme was presided over by Dr Pavithra Kumari, dean, Institute of Aviation Studies, and in the esteemed presence of Anjana TV, head of Department, Roshin K Sibi, student welfare officer, Pratheeksha Shetty, cultural coordinator, student council representatives Meenakshi, student president; Tanveer Singh, student vice president; Kshithi, student secretary; Varshith, student joint secretary; along with Prajnesh and Prapthi, student cultural coordinators.

The day commenced with a solemn prayer, followed by a floral welcome. The highlight of the inauguration was the traditional blooming of the coconut flower and areca nut flower, symbolizing prosperity and the preservation of culture.

The cultural vibrance of India was brought to life through engaging competitions such as the Group Fashion Show and the Individual Fashion Show, where students proudly showcased the traditional attire and heritage of various regions of the country.

In the Group Fashion Show, the I year MBA Aviation Management team secured first place, while second place was awarded to Team Kalamrita. In the individual Fashion Show, Felcita Felix Dias from II BBA Aviation and Logistics Management was crowned Queen, and Akshay S, also from II BBA Aviation and Logistics Management, was crowned King. In addition to these events, several fun-filled activities kept the festive spirit high, ensuring active participation and enjoyment for all.

The celebration concluded with a valedictory session, recognising the contributions of faculty, staff, and students in making Parampara 2025 a grand success. Parampara 2025 not only upheld the traditions of India but also strengthened the bond of unity and inclusiveness among the students of the Institute of Aviation Studies.
