Mangaluru, Sep 16: ‘Hindi Diwas’ reminds all of the importance of mother tongue. This day inspires people to embrace their language with pride and take it forward.
St Agnes PU College, celebrated ‘Hindi Divas’ with great enthusiasm and fanfare. The programme consisted of mesmerizing activities that included an invocation to the divine, an enthralling dance performance, singing, a humorous skit capturing the theme of ‘Athithi Devo Bhava’, and a poetry recitation that captured the various seasons of the year.
Sonaly Shainy Ferrao welcomed the gathering and Aliyah Mujahid proposed a vote of thanks. Archana Devadiga was the emcee for the programme. Sr Norine D’Souza, principal, Anitha G Shenoy, HoD of Hindi Department, Hindi lecturers Jeevan B R and Shyla Pinto, teaching and non-teaching staff along with the students were present on the occasion.
