Mangaluru, Sep 16: The Sacred Heart Ward of St Teresa Church, Paldane, celebrated Monti Fest with a festive meal featuring the newly harvested paddy.
Speaking on the occasion, parish priest Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho said that such collective celebrations foster family bonds, unity, and togetherness at the ward level, while also contributing to the ward’s overall development.
Church parish council vice president Elias Fernandes and secretary Austin Monteiro were present as guests and extended their greetings. Ward leader Molly D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Ward representatives Richard Martis, Baptist D’Cunha, and Anil Mascarenhas were also present.
Ward member Josma Maria Moras, who scored 97.6% in the PUC examination, was felicitated. Various games were organized for the ward members. Merlin Mascarenhas compered the programme, and Dr Sweedal D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks.
