Alarming trends and areas of concern
The high number of non-fatal accidents (583 cases) suggests that while many victims are surviving, they are often left with serious injuries, leading to long-term health and economic consequences. The disparity between fatal and non-fatal cases also highlights the need for improved trauma care, quicker emergency response, and better helmet and seatbelt compliance.
With over 120 lives lost in just over eight months, the statistics serve as a stark reminder of the dangers on city roads. As the final quarter of 2025 approaches, there is an urgent need for collective action from traffic authorities, local governments, and the public to curb this troubling trend.
