Udupi: Gastroenterology services to begin at Dr TMA Pai Hospital

Udupi, Sep 10: Dr TMA Pai Hospital is expanding its medical services with the launch of Medical Gastroenterology and Hepatology services. The department will be headed by Dr Ganesh Pai C, a distinguished former professor and head of the Department of Gastroenterology at Kasturba Medical College and Hospital, Manipal, with over 30 years of experience in the field.

Outpatient consultations will be available from Monday to Saturday, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Patients can seek expert care for a wide range of conditions, including gastrointestinal diseases, tumours, polyps, biliary and pancreatic disorders, and functional gastrointestinal problems. In addition to consultations, the department will provide advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as gastroscopy, colonoscopy, enteroscopy, and specialized treatments for gastrointestinal conditions.

Dr Shashikiran Umakanth, medical superintendent of Dr TMA Pai Hospital stated, "The addition of Gastroenterology and Hepatology services marks an important milestone in the journey of our hospital in providing comprehensive healthcare.
