Bengaluru, Sep 8: Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary feast celebrated in a grand manner at St Francis de Sales Church, Hebbagodi, Archdiocese of Bangalore.
The festive celebrations commenced on Thursday, August 28 with the flag hoisting ceremony presided over by Fr Sebastian Conrad msfs, parish priest of St Alphonsa Church, Mysore, which was followed by the Rosary, Procession, Holy Mass, and Novena. On Friday, August 29, Fr Arvin Jeevan Pais SJ, director of CIRW, Inana Jyothi, Anekal, led the Rosary, Procession, Holy Mass, and Novena. On Saturday, August 30, Fr Shantharaj SJ, parish priest of St Joseph's Church, Anekal, presided over the Rosary, Procession, Holy Mass, and Novena. On Sunday, August 31, Fr Jabamalai msfs, parish priest of SFS Church, Koppal, and principal of SFS Public School, Koppal, led the Rosary, Procession, Holy Mass, and Novena.













Fr Yesu Karlekar, SJ, professor at St Joseph's PU College Jnana Jyothi, Anekal, presided over the Rosary, Procession, Holy Mass, and Novena on Monday, September 1. On Tuesday, September 2, Fr Santhosh Kumar, msfs, director of De Sales Music Academy & Language Academy and Provincial Councillor Incharge of Formation, led the Rosary, Procession, Holy Mass, and Novena.
Fr Staney Rodrigues msfs, principal of St Francis Sales PU College Hebbagodi, Bangaluru, presided over the Rosary, Procession, Holy Mass, and Novena on Wednesday, September 3. On Thursday, September 4, Fr Jude Daniel Vijay ScJ, parish priest of St Anthony's Church, Yadavanahalli, led the Rosary, Procession, Holy Mass, and Novena. On Friday, Fr Vinay Kumar, secretary of the Karnataka Regional Liturgy and Interreligious Dialogue Commissions, led the Rosary, Procession, Holy Mass, and Novena.
A Festal Solemn Mass was celebrated on Saturday, September 6, officiated by Fr Franklin D'Souza, youth director and esteemed preacher from the diocese of Shimoga. During his homily, Fr D'Souza addressed the theme of ‘Mother Mary as a Beacon of Hope,’ illustrating this concept through various instances from the life of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Following the Holy Mass, Fr Joshy T MSFS, the parish priest, expressed gratitude to Fr Franklin D'Souza. Fr Anil Kiran, MSFS, assistant parish priest, was also in attendance. The parishioners subsequently honored Fr Franklin D'Souza for his participation in the feast.
