ICYM Omzoor unit celebrates Teachers’ Day with gratitude and prayer at Holy Family Church

Media Release

Mangaluru, Sep 7: ICYM Omzoor Unit, in collaboration with the Education Commission, joyfully celebrated Teachers’ Day on Sunday, September 7 during the morning Mass at Holy Family Church, Omzoor.

The liturgy was prayerfully led by our teachers, who took part in the readings, prayers of the faithful, and offertory procession. Their active participation made the celebration more meaningful and inspiring. The choir added to the solemnity, filling the church with an atmosphere of gratitude and reverence.

After the Eucharistic celebration, a short cultural programme was organised. The emcee, Henrietta Sequeira, warmly welcomed everyone and spoke on the significance of Teachers’ Day. She expressed deep appreciation for the invaluable role of teachers in shaping lives and society.

As a gesture of love and respect, each teacher was presented with a rose and a customized pen, symbols of knowledge, gratitude, and the noble mission of teaching.

Our parish priest, Fr William Menezes, in his address, praised the large number of teachers present in our parish and acknowledged their immense contribution to both the Church and society. He encouraged them to continue their mission with dedication, faith, and joy.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, extending gratitude to all who contributed to the day’s success. With around 50 teachers present, the occasion was truly special and memorable for the entire parish community.

May god continue to bless all our teachers with wisdom, strength, and joy as they guide and inspire generations with love and faith.
