Mangaluru–Thiruvananthapuram Vande Bharat Express to run with 20 coaches from Sept 9

Mangaluru, Sep 7: In a move aimed at enhancing passenger comfort and meeting rising demand, the Mangaluru Central–Thiruvananthapuram Central Vande Bharat Express will operate with additional coaches from September 9.

Railway authorities have announced that Train Nos. 20631/20632 will see its rake strength increased from 16 to 20 coaches. With the addition of four chair car coaches, the total seating capacity will rise from 1,128 to 1,440 – providing 312 extra seats for passengers.

As per the revised composition, the upgraded 20-coach Vande Bharat Express will include 16 chair car coaches and 2 executive chair car coaches. The enhanced facility is expected to significantly ease ticket availability on the busy coastal route.
