Shilpa Shetty jokes about ‘Affair with a Sardaar’ as Raj Kundra promotes Punjabi debut film

Mumbai, Sep 7: Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty left choreographer Farah Khan in splits with a witty remark about her husband Raj Kundra during a recent vlog interaction.

When Farah asked, “Raj ji kidhar hain?” Shilpa quipped, “Raj ji, mera na abhi actually filhaal affair chal raha hai ek Sardaar ke saath. Raj ji has left the building.” Seeing Farah’s shocked expression, Shilpa burst into laughter and clarified that Raj had turned actor with his Punjabi debut film Mehar, in which he plays a Sikh character.

Farah teased back saying Shilpa’s “husband” wasn’t at home, but her “lover” was. To this, Shilpa smilingly agreed, “Yeah, he’s my lover.” Raj soon joined the banter, appearing in his film get-up as a Sardaar.

Raj Kundra’s debut Punjabi film Mehar tells the story of Karamjit, a man from rural Punjab striving to reclaim his dignity as a father, husband, and son. The film is currently being promoted actively, with Raj seen in character at multiple appearances.

Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra, who married in 2009, are parents to son Viaan and daughter Samisha.
