Jodhpur, Sep 4: Former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje’s closed-door meeting with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat in Jodhpur has triggered intense political buzz across the state.

On a two-day visit to Jodhpur, Raje met Bhagwat at Adarsh Vidya Mandir in Lal Sagar, on her way to the Ramdeora shrine near Jaisalmer. The meeting lasted for about 20 minutes. The agenda of the discussion remains undisclosed, as senior party leaders and close aides—including former district president Bhopal Singh Badla, former RAJSICO chairman Meghraj Lohia, and Ghanshyam Vaishnav—were not present during the interaction.

Bhagwat is currently in Jodhpur to attend an all-India coordination meeting of the RSS and its affiliates scheduled for September 5–7. The three-day conclave is expected to draw nearly 300 senior office-bearers from 32 RSS-linked organisations.

Following her meeting with the RSS chief, Raje paid visits to several shrines in Jodhpur, including Bada Ramdwara in Surasagar and the Jugaljodi Temple in Raika Bagh, where she met Senacharya Achalanand Giri Maharaj. She later proceeded to Ramdeora near Pokhran.

The former CM recently made headlines with her cryptic “exile” remark at a religious sermon in Dholpur. “Exile comes in everyone’s life, but it’s not permanent. It comes and goes; one must have composure,” she had said, a statement that fueled fresh speculation about her political future.

Today, Raje is also expected to travel to Pushkar and Ajmer to offer condolences following the demise of Minister Suresh Rawat’s father.
