Karkala, Sep 3: The prestigious Christking Education Trust has announced this year’s district-level awards—Christking Shikshak Ratna and Christking Kreeda Shikshakshree.

Swarnalatha K, headmistress of Government High School, Renjala, has been selected for the Christking Shikshak Ratna Award. Similarly, Fredrick Rebello, retired army personnel and Physical Education Teacher at Government Pre-University College, Bailoor, have been chosen for the Christking Kreeda Shikshakshree Award.

The awards will be conferred during the Teachers’ Day celebration on November 4 at the institution.

Karnataka Legislative Council member S L Bhojegowda will grace the occasion as the chief guest and present the awards. Udupi district deputy director of Public Instruction Lokesh C and Sanjeeva Devadiga, state-level Best Teacher Awardee and retired headmaster of Miyyar Government Higher Primary School, will attend as guests of honour.
