Mangaluru: Career talk held at Expert PU College, Valachil

Mangaluru, Sep 2: Expert Pre-University College, Valachil, organised a career talk under its ‘Edupath – The journey of success’ series at the Cultural Centre on August 30. Dr Devadas Bhat, material scientist and alumnus of the institution, conducted a session on ‘Premium research institutions and careers ahead.’

Dr Bhat underlined the importance of research-oriented careers in India and abroad, introducing students to premier institutions such as IISc, IISERs, NCBS, CCMB, and other centres of excellence. He highlighted the global standing of IITs with their strong alumni networks, innovation-driven environment, and contributions in fields like nanotechnology, AI, aerospace, biomedical engineering, renewable energy, and cognitive sciences.

He further stressed that premier institutes offer unmatched quality education, research opportunities, international exposure and personal growth, while also preparing students for competitive exams and higher studies. Dr Devadas Bhat encouraged aspirants to explore global education options, noting the importance of English proficiency, SAT scores, and scholarships.

The talk inspired students to aim high and consider interdisciplinary and international avenues for their future careers.

The principal, Dr N K Vijayan Karippal, coaching head Gurudatta N, and the CRM Anitha P Shetty were present for the session.
