Puttur, Sep 2: Tahsildar S B Koodalagi, the second accused in a bribery case linked to the Puttur Taluk Office, failed to appear for inquiry on Monday, September 2.
On August 28, Lokayukta officials raided the Taluk Office and arrested one person in connection with the case, while the Tahsildar remained untraceable. Following this, the Lokayukta police issued a notice directing him to appear for questioning at their Mangaluru office on September 1.

However, he did not turn up for the hearing. Sources said the Lokayukta police are likely to issue another notice. Since appearing before the Lokayukta inquiry is mandatory, the Tahsildar’s absence has raised public curiosity about his next move.
