Mumbai, Aug 31: Bollywood actor John Abraham returns in a power-packed avatar with the spy-thriller Tehran, a film inspired by true events surrounding the 2012 Delhi bombing. Written by Ritesh Shah and Ashish P. Verma, and directed by Arun Gopalan, the movie weaves high-octane action with political intrigue.

The story follows officer Rajeev Kumar (John Abraham), who is shaken after witnessing the collateral damage of a bomb blast outside the Israeli embassy in New Delhi, which kills a six-year-old flower seller. Determined to expose the truth, he embarks on a dangerous mission. However, his journey takes a dark turn when India abandons him amid rising Israel-Iran tensions, and Iranian forces set out to eliminate him.

Tehran boasts an ensemble cast featuring Neeru Bajwa, Manushi Chillar, Alyy Khan, Hadi Khanjanpour, and Madhurima Tuli. Music has been composed by Tanishq Bagchi, while the film’s striking visuals come from cinematographers Ievgen Gubrebko and Evgeniy Gubrenko.

The film, which originally premiered on ZEE5 on August 14, earned strong reviews from both audiences and critics, holding an IMDb rating of 6.7/10. Now available on Netflix in Hindi, viewers can stream the thriller with an active subscription.
