Kasargod, Aug 30: A student lost his life in a tragic accident after his scooter lost control and crashed into a divider along the national highway near Mavinkatte, close to Kumble, on Friday night.
The deceased has been identified as Yousuf (20), a resident of Bandiyodu Ichlangodu Dinar Nagar. He was a plus two student at Shiriya School.
According to reports, Yousuf had just dropped a classmate at Mogral after attending the Onam celebrations at school and was returning home when the accident occurred at Mavinkatte. His scooter went out of control and rammed into the divider, leading to the mishap.
He was rushed to Kumble hospital with serious injuries but succumbed shortly after.
Kumble police have registered a case in connection with the incident.
