Mangaluru, Aug 28: Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated with great pomp and pageantry at Expert PU College, Valachil, on Wednesday.

The Ganesha idol was uniquely decorated in the sanctum sanctorum. Students adorned the temple premises with vibrant festoons and artistic flourishes. The Mahapuja was performed with Vedic chants accompanied by soothing bhajans.

The resonant chants of 'Ganapati Bappa Morya' filled the air, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere.

Students dressed in colourful attire and participated enthusiastically in the festive celebrations.

Prof Narendra L Nayak, chairman of the Expert Group of Institutions, Mangaluru, graced the occasion and melodiously rendered a devotional Ganesha bhajan.

Dr Ushaprabha N Nayak, vice chairperson, Ankush N Nayak, director of Information Technology, architect Deepika A Nayak, Dr N K Vijayan Karippal, principal, Expert PU college, Valachil, Dhruthi V Hegde, vice principal (Admn), Anitha P Shetty, CRM, Rakshith K Shetty, programme director, and other faculty members were present.

A special festive lunch, served on traditional plantain leaves, was provided to all by Spices and Chefs.
