Pune, Aug 27: A road rage incident in Khadki turned violent on Monday evening, leaving an investment banking firm employee with a fractured nose and his friend with a dislocated shoulder. Police have arrested four men in connection with the assault.
The victim, identified as Satyam Sukhsagar Bhargav, was returning to his Kharadi residence from Nashik when the incident occurred near a gurdwara on Elphinstone Road around 5.45 pm.

According to Bhargav’s complaint, two men riding a two-wheeler on the wrong side crossed his vehicle. When he asked them to ride in the correct lane, the duo left, only to return shortly after, pounding on his car and attacking him. They later summoned two more associates, escalating the assault.
Bhargav, bleeding profusely from the nose, managed to call the police helpline and his friend Mahesh, who rushed to the spot but was also attacked, suffering a dislocated shoulder.
Police said two constables reached the spot during the scuffle, prompting the attackers to flee. The injured were first treated at Khadki cantonment hospital and later shifted to Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital in Pimpri, where Bhargav was advised surgery for his fractured nose.
The Khadki police registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including voluntarily causing grievous hurt, wrongful restraint, and intentional insult. “We have recovered the registration numbers of the two bikes used by the assailants. All four accused have been arrested,” a police officer confirmed.
