Panaji, Aug 22: Goa is set to roll out technology-driven and sustainable waste management practices under Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban 2.0 (SBM-U 2.0), Urban Development Minister Vishwajit Rane announced on Thursday.

Chairing a review meeting with the Urban Development Department, Rane highlighted plans for four-way garbage segregation across municipalities and digitisation of waste management using QR-code tracking. He said training programmes will also be introduced for municipal workers to ensure efficient and transparent implementation.

“In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a Garbage-Free India, we are committed to building sustainable and technology-driven waste management systems for Goa,” Rane said.
