Podar Prep Mangaluru organised a series of vibrant celebrations, combining creativity, values, and cultural awareness with holistic learning aligned to the NCF-2022 Panchakoshas. The events aimed at instilling values of kindness, empathy, respect, responsibility, and joy while engaging children in experiential activities across all age groups.

International Tiger Day


International Tiger Day was observed with the theme “Proud Stripes, Precious Lives!” Children learnt the values of caring for animals, respecting nature, and global awareness. Age-appropriate activities included Dance and Roar (Seeds/Playgroup), Stripe the Tiger Together (Emerging Roots/Nursery), and Tiger Face Origami (Budding and Growing Plants/Jr KG & Sr KG).

Raksha Bandhan Celebration

Raksha Bandhan was celebrated with joy and enthusiasm under the theme “A Bond of Love and Protection.” The event highlighted sibling bonds and values of care, respect, and protection. Children across grades engaged in Rakhi-making activities, designed to be both creative and meaningful, fostering togetherness while supporting holistic development.

Left Handers Day


On August 13, Left Handers Day was marked with the theme “Celebrating the Unique Power of the Left Hand.” The programme helped children embrace values of empathy, kindness, and inclusivity. Activities were planned for each age group—Blocks and Bead Shuttle (Seeds), Shape Hammering and Puzzle (Emerging Roots), Bowling and Clay Moulding (Budding Plants), and Bead Transfer and Drawing (Growing Plants).

Janmashtami celebration


On August 14, Janmashtami was celebrated with the theme “Milk: Powering Growth Every Sip.” The celebration instilled values of knowledge, responsibility, friendship, and honesty, while stressing the nutritional importance of milk and dairy products. Activities included Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down games (Emerging Roots), Puzzle on milk and milk products (Budding Plants), and Drawing – Milk Product (Growing Plants).

The series of celebrations not only kept cultural traditions alive but also encouraged creativity, healthy living, and joyful learning among children through play-based, holistic experiences.
