Udupi, Aug 15: Lords International Residential School, Udupi, celebrated Independence Day with grandeur, patriotism, and enthusiasm.
The event was graced by Dr Megha Pai, senior consultant nephrologist at Adarsha Hospital, Udupi, who served as the chief guest, and Dr Bhavyashree B Kidiyoor, treasurer & trustee of Kediyoor Educational Trust (R), who presided over the programme.




















The celebration commenced with the hoisting of the national flag by the chief guest, followed by a guard of honour and an impressive march past by the students. In her address, Dr Megha Pai urged the gathering to uphold the spirit of patriotism and to honour the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters who paved the way for India’s independence.
The programme concluded with a vibrant cultural performance by students from kindergarten to grade 9, showcasing songs, dances, and skits that left the audience enthralled. The event reflected not only the patriotic zeal of the students but also the school’s commitment to nurturing values of unity and respect for the nation.
