Christ King students qualify for state-level kusthi tournament

Karkala, Aug 14: Dhruveeth and Sudheekasha students of Christ King English Medium High School, Karkala, have been selected for the state-level kusthi tournament.

Dhruveeth of grade 8 in Boy’s category and Sudheeksha of grade 8 in girl’s category earned the spot after winning gold medal in the Udupi district-level kusthi tournament under age group 14–17, held at Venkataramana English Medium School, Kundapura under the school education department, government of Karnataka, zilla panchayat Udupi, and the Udupi district administration.

Other achievers from the school included Mohammed Hisham Khan and Sadhvi Nayak from grade 7, Rachel D’Souza and Lenisha Mendonca from grade 10, who won silver medal, while Mohammed Atif and Preethi Poojary from grade 6, Manas from grade 7 and Sanvi M Nayak from grade 9 claimed bronze medal.
