CHRIST University awarded Silver Level Recognition by Casualty Actuarial Society

Media Release

Bengaluru, Aug 4: CHRIST University has been awarded Silver Level Recognition by the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS). This makes Christ University, the third university in India, after Sathya Sai Institute and IIT Madras, to receive this prestigious honour.

This recognition confirms that the university’s syllabus and curriculum are internationally accepted and vetted, aligning with global standards in general insurance and actuarial education.

As a CAS University Partner, Christ University now gain access to several academic and student benefits, including:

  • Listing as a partner on the CAS website and access to their research, case studies and articles.
  • A digital seal to denote our partnership, for use on university materials.
  • Invitations for our faculty to attend the General Insurance Teachers Conference.
  • Priority placements for our students in CAS summer programs.
  • Access to CAS members and staff for virtual or on-campus presentations.
  • Annual CAS sponsorship for approved on-campus events.

This is a proud milestone for the university’s actuarial science programmes, and it looks forward to the new opportunities it brings for faculty and students alike.

CHRIST University acknowledges that it could achieve this big milestone only because of the efforts taken by Dr Priyanka Pandey, coordinator of Actuarial Science programmes.
