Man from Udupi dies in Mumbai, relatives sought for cremation

Mumbai, Aug 4: A man, Anand Monappa Poojary, aged about 51 years, who was said to have lived in the transit camp of Matunga (Dharavi) Mumbai has died after being admitted to the Sion Hospital due to illness.

The deceased is said to be a native of the undivided Dakshina Kannada (Udupi) district of Karnataka coast and there is no information about the relatives of the deceased. Therefore, the mortal remains has been kept in Sion Hospital and notice has been issued to trace the heirs.

For the posthumous and cremation of the dead body, the relatives or acquaintances of the deceased shall immediately contact the social worker Dr Shiva Mudigere (9320777774) or Shahu Nagar police station, Matunga, Mumbai, police sub inspector Sayi Chandrabhan Patil (Mobile: 9594276644) is requested to contact him.
