Udupi, Jul 29: The department of Mechanical Engineering at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal is accredited by National Board of Accreditation for a period of three years, recognising its commitment to excellence in engineering education and continuous quality improvement.

National Board of Accreditation (NBA) is the highest autonomous body under Government of India, which assess the qualitative competence of the programmes offered by technical educational institution in India. This prestigious accreditation, effective from the academic year 2025-26, was granted after a rigorous evaluation process conducted by the NBA expert team, which assessed the department’s academic processes, faculty qualifications, infrastructure, student outcomes, research activities and industry collaborations.

The NBA accreditation helps the department in multiple ways, including enhanced credibility, improved employment prospects for graduates, eligibility for government funding and greater opportunities for international collaboration.

The management of the institute, CEO of Shri Sode Vadiraja Matha Educational Institutions Prof Dr Radhakrishna S Aithal and principal of the institute Prof Dr Thirumaleshwara Bhat have congratulated the faculty and staff members of the department of mechanical engineering for this tremendous achievement.
