The CASK Centenary Trust has been giving out these scholarships since 2014. The scholarships are sanctioned without any consideration to religion, language, marks or merit. The programme will be presided over by Bishop Dr Peter Paul Saldanha. Michael D'Souza, NRI philanthropist, and Dr Rohan Monteiro chairman of Rohan Corporation will be the guests of honour. The programme will be attended by the scholarship awardees, their parents and the donors and benefactors of CASK Centenary Trust.

Since 2014, The CASK Centenary Trust has been reaching out to all with empathy, particularly to those in distress and on the margin of society through initiatives in the field of education, health care, shelter support, counselling and preservation of the environment. The trust wishes to be a beacon of hope and a catalyst for positive change strengthening communities and improving the lives of those we reach out.

The scholarship programme aims at motivating the beneficiaries to work hard and give their best in securing a good education that will help them to stand proudly on their feet someday, in the service of their family, our community and the nation.

Of the 307 beneficiaries, 162 are girls and almost 40 percent are from rural areas. These students hail from over 70 different institutions and include school and college students besides several from professional streams including nursing, engineering and para-medical courses too.
