Srinagar, Jul 16: In a decisive crackdown on terror infrastructure, Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday attached three properties in Budgam district linked to Pakistan-based terrorist handlers affiliated with JKNOP (Jammu and Kashmir Network of Overground Propagandists).

The attachments were executed in the presence of Executive Magistrates at Khag, Chewa Beerwah, and Harwani Khansahib, as part of investigations under FIR No. 58/2024. The case pertains to sections of the Indian Arms Act and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

The seized assets include:

• A double-storied residential house in Harwani Khansahib, owned by Manzoor Ahmad Chopan alias Rayees.
• A house and agricultural land (5 Kanals, 13 Marlas) in Chewa Budgam, belonging to Mohammad Yousuf Malik alias Molvi.
• Land measuring 19.5 Marlas in Khag, owned by Bilal Ahmad Wani alias Umer.

Police said these individuals have been operating from Pakistan and actively orchestrating terror activities in the region for years. The property attachment is part of a broader initiative to disrupt the support systems that sustain terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.

The action, police said, serves as a stern warning to anyone involved in anti-national acts and reinforces law enforcement’s resolve to dismantle financial and logistical networks aiding terrorism.

Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to protecting regional peace and ensuring that no entity—local or foreign—is allowed to compromise national security.
