Media Release

Moodbidri, Jul 13: The Corpus Christi Church, witnessed a proud moment on Sunday, July 13, as the dedicated members of its parish band were honoured with certificates and medals for their committed service over the past two years. The felicitation ceremony took place during the Sunday celebration and was presided over by the parish priest, Fr Onil D’Souza.

A total of thirty children, ranging from class 1 to class 10, have been trained in six musical instruments under the church band initiative. Over the past two years, these young musicians have contributed significantly by performing during various church feasts, solemnities, and special occasions, adding a vibrant musical touch to the parish’s liturgical celebrations.

Fr Onil D’Souza, who is also the visionary founder of the Corpus Christi Church band, congratulated the children for their discipline, dedication, and musical growth. He expressed his joy at seeing the talents of the youth being used for the glory of God and service to the church community.

The event marked not just a celebration of talent, but also a testimony to the fruitful formation and encouragement of youth within the parish’s spiritual and cultural life.
