Mangaluru, July 12: Doyens of the music world Sanjay Abhyankar and Sharayoo Dathe will present vocal music in Abhang form. Prasad Padye on the Tabla, Sukhad Munde on the Pakwaz, Sooryakanth Surve on the rhythm pad, Abhishek Shinkar on the harmonium and Shadj Godkindi on the flute will accompany, said Prof Narendra Nayak, Vice President, Sangeet Bharati.
There is no entry fee for this Abhang programme by the music maestros of national fame and the entry pass can be collected from Expert PU College Kodialbail.
Bolava Vittala' is a novel Santavaani programme conceived by Pancham Nishad Institute of Mumbai that has organised programmes by many renowned musicians in India. This programme has successfully been presented in many places in India including Bengaluru, Mumbai and Hyderabad. In Mangalore, Sanjay Abhyankar and Sharayoo Dathe will present a Jugal bandi in the beginning. Later they will present vocal recitals separately.



The music wizard of Mewati Gharana, Sanjay Abhyankar is an internationally acclaimed musician in Hindustani classical and devotional domains. Winning an award for the movie God Mother, he is famous for Marathi, Hindi Sanskrit Bhajans.
Attaining world fame at a young age through SARIGAMAPA Little Champs programme, Sharayoo Dathe left an indelible imprint in social media with her vocal performance. She received her education in music from her mother Anjali Dathe. Later she was under the tutelage of the famous singer Arati Ankliker Tikekar. She is equally proficient in Abhang, dance and music including semi classical music
For the first time in the history of Mangalore 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 editions were held for a packed Townhall. For 3 and half hours i e, till the completion of the performance the audience remained spell bound in their seat. Though the programme was scheduled for 3 hours on popular demand they extended by half hour; in the end reluctantly the artists concluded the programme. The stage is set again for a similar great event.
