New Delhi, Jul 4: In a chilling case that has sent shockwaves across the capital, a 14-year-old boy was brutally murdered in a premeditated revenge attack in outer north Delhi’s Haiderpur area. Delhi police on Thursday confirmed the arrest of six individuals, including four juveniles, in connection with the heinous crime, while a manhunt is underway to trace two absconding accused.
The incident came to light on July 1, when the partially-decomposed body of the boy, bearing multiple stab wounds and a scarf tied around the neck, was discovered near the Munak Canal, close to the Delhi Jal Board water treatment plant. A PCR call around 3:10 pm alerted authorities to the scene, after which police swiftly swung into action.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer North), Hareshwar V Swami, initial investigation revealed that the victim, a resident of Jeevan Park in Siraspur, had been abducted, stripped and fatally stabbed by a group of eight individuals. The gruesome murder was reportedly carried out in a revenge plot masterminded by 19-year-old Krishna alias Bhola, with the help of his associates.
“Krishna was allegedly assaulted last year by local criminals Monu and Sonu. He suspected that the deceased boy had acted as an informer in the case and held a deep-seated grudge,” said DCP Swami. “Along with seven others, he meticulously planned the killing over weeks.”
On the night of June 29, the group intercepted the minor near Veer Chowk Bazaar in the presence of his friends. He was forcibly abducted and taken to the canal where the attackers, one by one, took turns stabbing him before dumping his body into the water. The police termed the act as "gruesome and deeply disturbing."
Acting on technical surveillance, Krishna and one juvenile were arrested first. Further interrogation led to the arrest of another adult, Ashmit alias Ashwani (18), and three more juveniles. A motorcycle used in the crime has been recovered.
Meanwhile, efforts are on to locate Monu and Mohit, who are believed to have fled to Haridwar.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and more arrests may follow. Authorities are also probing if there are deeper gang affiliations or criminal conspiracies connected to the case.
