Bank staff, accomplice booked for cheating Vasco Man of gold worth Rs 8 lac

Vasco, Jun 27: Police in Vasco have registered a case against three individuals, including two private bank employees, for allegedly cheating a Baina resident out of gold ornaments valued at Rs 8 lakh.

The FIR was filed following a complaint by Khwaja Hussain, who accused bank manager Sunil Chavan, bank employee Shazia Sayed, and Dabolim resident Safhan Khan of deceiving him and unlawfully taking his gold under false pretences during a meeting in Shantinagar.

Police sub-inspector Mayur Sawant has been assigned to investigate the case.
