Goa Governor continues Khushal Kalyan Yatra with visits across South Goa

Margao, Jun 19: In the fourth leg of his Khushal Kalyan Yatra, Goa Governor P. S. Sreedharan Pillai, accompanied by First Lady Rita Sreedharan Pillai, visited several locations in South Goa on Wednesday, including Margao, Assolna, Benaulim, Varca, and Fatorda.

The yatra began at Lohia Maidan, where the Governor laid a wreath and was received by local dignitaries. Continuing his outreach, he visited the historic Jain Mandir in Margao and the ancestral home of Dr Julio Menezes in Assolna.

In Benaulim, the Governor explored the Goa Chitra museums, showcasing local art and heritage. At Varca, he was welcomed at the church by the parish priest.

The couple also visited temples and a mosque in Margao and Fatorda, offering prayers for communal harmony, peace, and the collective well-being of Goans.

Since assuming office in 2021, Governor Pillai has undertaken multiple yatras aimed at engaging with communities across the state.
