Kundapur: Woman goes missing after leaving scooter on Kodi bridge

Kundapura, Jun 10: In a suspected case of suicide, a woman reportedly jumped into the river after leaving behind a scooter and a death note on the Kodi bridge in Kundapur on Monday.

The missing woman has been identified as Heena Kausar (32), a resident of JLB Road, Vittalwadi in Vadearahobli village. Her husband Iqbal (36) is employed abroad, and the couple has two children. Heena was residing with her mother at their house in Vittalwadi.

According to reports, Heena left home around 5 am on Monday. Her scooter was later found abandoned on the Kodi bridge, along with her slippers. It is suspected that she may have jumped into the river. A death note was reportedly found in the scooter.

Following the incident, a search operation was launched under the supervision of Kundapur police, with the help of the fire and emergency services team using boats. However, no trace of the woman has been found so far.

Based on a complaint filed by Heena’s mother, Sadiqa Banu, a missing person case has been registered at the Kundapur police station.
