Puttur: Exile notice issued to BJP leader Arun Kumar Puthila

Puttur, June 2: Preparations are underway to initiate externment proceedings against BJP leader and head of the Puthila Parivara, Arun Kumar Puthila. In connection with this, he has been issued a notice to appear for a hearing on June 6.

In the backdrop of recent disturbing incidents in Dakshina Kannada district, authorities have decided to extern Arun Kumar Puthila from the district. As per Section 55 of the Karnataka Police Act, an order is being considered to extern him to the jurisdiction of Shahabad police station in Kalaburagi district. The hearing regarding this matter has been scheduled for June 6.

The notice to appear has been issued by the office of the Puttur assistant commissioner. The notice warns that if Puthila fails to attend the hearing, an ex parte decision will be made.
