Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi

Udupi, May 29: All Anganwadi centres across Udupi district will remain closed as a precautionary measure due to continued rainfall in the region. The holiday was declared by Udupi deputy commissioner Dr Vidyakumari on Wednesday.

The decision comes amid persistent rains over the past few days, which have raised concerns over the safety of children and staff commuting to the centres.

Authorities have advised parents and guardians to remain alert and take necessary precautions. Further updates will be issued based on the evolving weather conditions.
