Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru

Mangaluru, May 28: A car caught fire while in motion near the Surathkal flyover on Wednesday, May 28 evening, completely gutting the vehicle in the incident.

The woman who was driving the car noticed the fire in time and managed to get out safely.

She also removed other belongings from the vehicle before the fire spread. Preliminary reports suggest that a short circuit may have triggered the fire.

Following an emergency call from Surathkal police, fire tenders from HPCL and the state fire department rushed to the spot and managed to douse the flames.
