Mangaluru, May 24: Expert P U College hosted the Student-Parent Orientation Programme (SPOP) 2025 for the newly admitted students and their parents at its Valachil campus. The event aimed to familiarize students and parents with the institution's facilities, academic planning, and expectations.

Prof Narendra L Nayak, chairman, Expert Group of Institutions emphasised the importance of faith in parents and teachers, discipline, and hard work of students for achieving success. He highlighted Expert's commitment in providing quality education with state-of-the-art facilities.

Dr Ushaprabha N Nayak, vice chairperson, stressed on the fact that along with consistency smart work is also essential to succeed in life. She urged parents to play an active role in their wards' growth. The initiation of new students into the Expert family was done by the vice chairperson by administering an oath.

Ankush N Nayak, IT director, explained the advantages of technology in the campus in the form of E-learn app and emphasized on the campus being completely cashless.

Druthi V Hegde, vice principal (admin), outlined the institution's norms, rules, and facilities, while Subramanya Udupa, vice principal (academics), elaborated on the academic planning and strategies, and Shyamprasad S, AICE head, briefed students on all India competitive examinations leading to professional courses and prestigious institutions.

Anitha P Shetty, chief resident mentor, and Narayana Kudva, lecturer in Chemistry and Jasmine Prathibha, lecturer in English accorded a warm welcome to the gathering, hosted the event and proposed vote of thanks.

The event was conducted over two days - May 23 and 24. The student welfare officers Bhavya V, Dr Manohar and programme director Rakshith M R were present on the occasion.
