Pakistan using public money to fund terror, warns Rajnath Singh

Daijiworld Media Network – Bhuj

Bhuj, May 16: Defence minister Rajnath Singh has accused Pakistan of misusing citizens' tax money to fund terror organisations, including Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba, and urged the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to halt its financial aid to the country.

Addressing air warriors at Bhuj Air Force Station on Friday, Singh claimed, “Pakistan is allocating ?14 cr from its public funds to Masood Azhar, a UN-designated terrorist and chief of Jaish-e-Mohammed. Financial aid is also being extended to terror bases in Muridke and Bahawalpur.”

He warned that India would not tolerate such actions. “The IMF’s $1 billion aid to Pakistan is essentially indirect terror funding. India’s contributions to IMF should not be misused to fuel terrorism in any country,” Singh stated firmly.

He added that India has kept Pakistan on a ‘probation period’ under the current ceasefire. “Any disturbance will invite the harshest punishment,” he cautioned.

Referring to Operation Sindoor, Singh said, “Our operation was only a trailer. If necessary, we’ll show the full picture. Attacking and eliminating terrorism is the new normal of New India.”

He praised the Indian Air Force for neutralising terror camps within 23 minutes during Operation Sindoor, asserting, “The world heard the echoes of India’s strength and determination.”

The remarks come amid heightened tensions over Pakistan’s internal support for terror groups and the global implications of funding such outfits.
