Washington, May 10: Donald Trump has signed a new executive order introducing what he calls the "first self-deportation program," which will allow undocumented immigrants to leave the US at no cost, with flights booked through a new government-supported app.
In a video posted on Truth Social, the president stated, "Today, I signed an executive order to launch the first self-deportation program for illegal immigrants. We are making it as easy as possible for illegal immigrants to leave America. Any illegal immigrant can show up at an airport and get a free flight out of our country."

The announcement is part of the Trump administration’s broader push to encourage mass deportations through voluntary departures.
Trump said the CBP Home App would allow migrants to "book a free airline ticket to any foreign country." Along with free travel, the government will also offer financial bonuses to incentivize people to leave, he added. However, a stern warning was issued for those refusing to depart voluntarily, hinting at stricter penalties.
