Ahmedabad, May 1: On the occasion of International Labour Day, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani paid heartfelt tribute to the thousands of workers who form the backbone of the conglomerate, describing them as the “unsung heroes” who silently power the nation’s progress.

Taking to social media platform X, the industrialist wrote, “On this Labour Day, I bow to the countless hands that keep the Adani machinery running. You are the unsung heroes who build, protect, transport, feed, and fuel our dreams.”

Sharing a touching video featuring employees from across the Adani Portfolio of companies, Adani praised the dedication, faith, and perseverance of his workforce. “It is your hard work, your prayers, your appreciation, and your belief that lift us higher each day,” he added, concluding with a salute — “My deepest respect and gratitude to each of you. Jai Hind!”

The video featured a cross-section of employees speaking about their experiences at the Group:

  • Gobind Singh, a technical staffer, expressed satisfaction with the advanced technology he’s been exposed to, saying he’s learned a great deal about new machinery.
  • Jaimini Panara shared pride in being associated with the Group, calling the work culture positive and respectful.
  • Mittal, a woman employee who has spent four years with the Group, urged people to “be loyal to your work” as a message on Labour Day.
  • Satinder Kaur, in her first job with Adani, called the work environment “superb”.
  • Satvir Singh appreciated the supportive staff and well-provided facilities as he nears one year with the company.

The Adani Group, one of India's largest conglomerates with businesses spanning infrastructure, energy, ports, and more, has consistently emphasized worker welfare and professional development across its vast enterprise.

Labour Day, celebrated globally on May 1, honours the contributions and rights of workers and is observed as a national holiday in India.
