Mangaluru: Two-day beach festival concludes on grand note at Thannirbhavi

Mangaluru, Jan 12: The two-day beach festival, organised as part of Karavali Utsava and presented by Rohan Corporation, concluded on a grand note at Thannirbhavi Beach on Sunday, January 12.

Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan, Mangaluru North MLA Dr Bharath Y Shetty, Mayor Manoj Kumar, additional deputy commissioner Dr Santhosh, managing director of Rohan Corporation Rohan Monterio, and others attended the valedictory ceremony of the festival.

During the event, Abhishek Thirthahalli presented Raghu Dixit with his portrait, which was earlier displayed at Kala Parba in Kadri Park.

The festival began on January 11 with a vibrant dance performance, followed by a live concert by Kadri Manikanth.

On January 12, the day opened with a yoga session and Udaya Raga, followed by a sand art competition, water sports, and concluded with a dance festival and a performance by the Raghu Dixit Project.

The festival offered visitors a unique blend of cultural and entertainment experiences.

    at 5 PM Sunday, Traffic police have halted all vehicular entry to the venue near the Kulur Bridge where many couldnt go to the venue. What is the use of the beach festival if the management couldnt manage the beach festival properly. They could have arranged the parking space for the vehicles near NMPT and arranged the bus facilities till Beach festival venue for free from NH entrance.

    We had to return without being able to reach the venue due to traffic chaos even an hour before the musical event took off. Our infrastructure isn't equipped to meet the rising demands of a smaller city becoming a larger city.
