Udupi: Tempo carrying fish overturns due to tyre burst; driver, conductor injured

Udupi, Dec 13: The driver and conductor of a tempo transporting fish sustained injuries after the vehicle overturned when its front tyre burst near the Budhagi petrol pump at Ermal on NH 66 on Thursday.

Locals rescued the driver and conductor, who were trapped inside the vehicle. 

They shifted them to a private hospital in Padubidri using an SDPI ambulance.

    The tyres of all vehicles need to be replaced after 4 years. Retreading is partly the reason of these tyre bursts. The lives of the public are seriously at risk...
