Karkala: Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church, Nirmalapadau celebrates annual feast

Karkala, May 17 : The annual parish feast of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church, Nirmalapadau was celebrated in an atmosphere of devotion and gaiety on Wednesday May 15.

Prior to the solemn concelebrated festal Mass, Fr Denis D'Souza, the parish priest distributed ‘Candles of Honour’ to all those who had contributed towards the feast and also the sponsors of the annual feast.

Fr George D'Souza, St Lawrence Church, Parish priest, Moodubelle, celebrated the solemn festal Mass preached that 'Through prayers we can unite our families'. More than 20 priests from Karkala deanery and from various parts of the diocese participated in the Holy Mass.

The singing by the church choir was melodious and heart lifting. Brass band added to the charm of the annual parish feast. A large number of parishioners attended the festal Holy Mass and shared their joy on the occasion.

The main celebrant Fr George D'Souza imparted his profound message and bestowed the final blessing upon all devotees venerating Our Lady of Perpetual.

Concluding the event, the parish priest extended warm wishes to the congregation and conveyed sincere appreciation to all who contributed their invaluable services towards the success of this esteemed feast.

ICYM Nirmalapadau set up an engaging games stall, adding a lively and entertaining element to the celebration. Parishioners and visitors alike had the opportunity to enjoy various games, fostering a sense of joy and camaraderie during the annual feast.
