Mangaluru’s Gwynne Shiboni D’Souza wins 2nd runner up spot at Mrs UAE International 2024

Mangaluru, May 8: Gwynne Shiboni D’Souza from the city won the 2nd runner up spot at Mrs UAE International 2024 - Season 5 on April 21 at Dubai downtown.

The beauty pageant was organised by Being Muskaan Events founded by Meena Asrani.

The event was graced by Sheikha Fatima Bint Hasher Bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum along the presence of royal dignitaries and well-known personalities in Dubai industry, Laila Rahhal, Romain Gerardin – Fresse and many more.

A total of 18 participants were shortlisted as finalist in both gold and platinum category (out of 1000 + entries). The event included several rounds such as talent round and presentation round on the topic individual social responsibility followed by Q&A. The evening rounds included ramp walk in 3 different attires i.e., traditional and gown round - followed by Q&A.

Gwynne Shiboni D’Souza won the 2nd runner up of Mrs UAE International 2024 in the gold category and won the sub-title of Mrs Best Personality 2024.

In the talent round, Gwynne performed a fusion dance of Bollywood and belly dance. For the presentation round, she presented on the topic of individual social responsibility in sustainable clothing.

Prior to the event there was 2.5 days of intensive training/grooming session organized by Being Muskaan which included fitness session, makeup, photography, self-defence, choreography, meditation, health & nutrition session, etiquette training etc.

Gwynne has been in the UAE since 2017. She did her MBA in business operations and supply chain management from Middlesex University, Dubai. Currently, she is working as a procurement professional in the automotive sector.

Passionate about dance, Gwynne started off with Bharatnatyam in her school days, followed by ballroom dance (Ripvins ballroom dance class).

She had competed her schooling from St Gerosa Girls High School, Jeppu and college from St Agnes College, Bendore.
