Former Sedam MLA Dr Nagareddy Patil dies

Bengaluru, May 6: Senior Congress leader and former MLA from Sedam, Dr Nagareddy Patil died of heart attack early morning on Monday.

A prominent educationist, Dr Nagareddy Patil was first elected as BJP MLA in 1983. He subsequently joined Janata Dal and later the Congress party since the last two decades. His Shivashanta Reddy is serving as Sedam Block Congress party president.

79-year-old Dr Reddy was a prominent educationist and involved in the Basaveshwara Bharatiya Education Committee.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has expressed his condolences and said the State has lost a very committed leader.
