Mangaluru: Eighth luxury cruise liner arrives at NMPT

Mangaluru, May 6: The MS Insignia, the eighth luxury cruise liner to dock at NMPT this year, arrived on Sunday to a warm traditional welcome.

Passengers were greeted with Bharatanatyam and Yakshagana performances, showcasing Indian and Karnataka culture.

This Norwegian cruise liner, boasting 509 passengers and 407 staff, enjoyed expedited clearance facilities at NMPT.

Tourists took advantage of their time ashore, visiting landmarks such as the Gomateshwara Hill of Karkala, the Thousand Pillar Jain temple in Moodbidri, Soans Farm, a Cashewnut factory, Gokarnanatha temple, St Aloysius Chapel, local markets, and traditional ancestral houses.
