Udupi: Milagres College to host job fair on May 4

Udupi, May 2: “Milagres College, Kallianpur, Udupi in Collaboration with Wizdom Institutions Network is excited to announce the eagerly awaited Job Fair scheduled for Saturday, May 4, from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm Milagres College Kallianpur,” said Dr Vincent Alva, principal Milagres College Kallianpur.

He said, “Milagres College, Kallianpur, Udupi established in the year 1967 provides holistic education to the poor and marginalised section of the rural area. College has been accredited with NAAC A+ Grade with CGPA 3.29 which is one of the highest in the District. College has BA BCom, BCA and BSc programmes with dedicated and experienced staff. 

"The Job Fair aims at opening the doors not only for the students of Milagres College but also for students hailing from neighbouring educational institutions. Furthermore, individuals with prior professional experience are cordially invited to seize the myriad opportunities this fair provides. Students in their final year, as well as graduates in BA, BSc, BBA, BCom, and BCA, along with undergraduate and postgraduate students in various disciplines encompassing basic sciences, humanities, commerce & management, and engineering, are encouraged to participate. Remarkably, this fair extends its reach even to individuals who have either cleared or encountered setbacks in their SSLC examinations, providing an inclusive platform for all. Walter Nandalike, founder of Daijiworld media will be the chief guest for the inauguration ceremony. Fr Valerian Mendonca, correspondent will preside over the programme. 

“An array of industries beckon, including aviation, gaming, pharma, nursing, IT software, automobile, heavy equipment manufacturing, textile, mobile distribution, data analytics, home appliances, sales, marketing, back office operations, business development, hotel management, content editing, journalism, media, and teaching are participating in the job fair. With a staggering 600+  prospective candidates already registered, and an expected turnout of over 1000 candidates, the atmosphere buzzes with excitement and anticipation. Companies located in and around the globe, spanning India, USA and UAE, and those who have their presence in cities like Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Surathkal, Mulki, and Kundapur, are actively engaging in this event. Over 500 job openings await deserving candidates, promising meaningful opportunities for all participants,” Dr Alva said.

Professor Sophia Dias, vice principal; Dr Jayaram Shettigar, IQAC coordinator; Karthik Nayak, placement officer;  and Ravinandan Bhat, PRO were present.
