Udupi: Separate cases filed against ABVP, BJP Yuva Morcha activists over protest, unlawful posters

Udupi, Apr 24: Two separate cases have been filed against ABVP and BJP Yuva Morcha activists for organizing protest rallies over the Neha Hiremath murder case and for posting unlawful posters against the state government.

On Tuesday, April 23, in the morning, ABVP organized a protest rally condemning the killing of Neha Hiremath and took out a march from Udupi Jodukatte to Udupi bus stand. Around 300 students participated in the protest march. The case was filed by Kumar Nayak V, CDPO of Udupi taluk, against ABVP leaders Sreevatsa, Ganesh, Ajith, Harshith and Murali.

Another case has been filed against BJP Yuva Morcha activists for posting unlawful "Pickpocket Congress’ posters in public areas without prior permission. The case was registered by Gautham Shasthry against Sreevatsa, Shivaprasad, Dhanush and others.
