Mangaluru, Apr 17: BJP leader and MLC Prathap Simha Nayak has criticised the State government and said Rahul Gandhi is in Mandya who would be wanted to answer a few questions regarding Karnataka.

Addressing the media on Wednesday, April 17, at BJP office, Mangaluru. Prathap simha Nayak said that, "Today in Karnataka the star campaigner of Congress party, Rahul Gandhi has arrived in Mandya and Kolar. Today he should answer the questions of the public. Mandya is famously known for Kaveri river and the people there take pride in calling the river as their mother. But today since Rahul Gandhi is in Mandya we want to ask him why the farmers don't get enough water. Why is the drinking water situation in Bengaluru became so worse. After all this what will you say to the citizens about the decision of your government to give water to Tamil Nadu? As many as 692 farmers have ended their lives although the Congress government wants to speak in all matters which are related to farmers but in this case why are they silent?"

He further said, "Rahul Gandhi is famous for going to Foreign countries and creating a fake narrative that India is not a safe country and the Constitution is in danger. Also he is saying government institutions are working under BJP's command. Rahul Gandhi is not only bringing a bad name for the country but he is also spoiling his name across the nation. The Congress party has a history over a century now and they have started their campaign today in Mandya and I ask Rahul Gandhi that in 11 months after creation of this government is there any other achievement apart from guarantee schemes?. Is there even a single developmental work done in your tenure? This question should be asked by Rahul Gandhi to Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar. The state government is unable to pay bills and they do not have funds to provide for MLAs, although the state government has taken loans but no monetary support has been provided by the state government to the poor farmers who are affected by drought."

"In 11 months after the Congress government came into power the naxals and terrorist activities have significantly increased. A girl was raped in the Congress convention and even with Rameshwaram cafe bomb blast they tried to divert the issue and provoke people." he said.

He elaborated further by saying that, "The Congress party forced Kempanna to say that 40% money is taken by the BJP party but today he is telling that the Congress party is taking 60%. The state government leaders under the leadership of Basavaraj Rayareddy said that no developmental works have been done under the Congress rule. Today is Rama navami and people of the country are celebrating it while the Congress party had asked for proof of Rama's birthplace.  They even said that Rama is a fictitious figure and ensured that this case goes on for a long time. But today the Congress leadership is claiming itself to be Hindu, we want to ask Rahul Gandhi why didn't you come to Rama Mandir Inauguration despite getting the invitation."

"The electricity price has gone up and still the state government is unable to collect money. The state government has gone bankrupt under the Congress regime and for this Rahul Gandhi should answer." he said.

On why such questions should be asked to Rahul Gandhi when he is not even president of the party, Prathap simha Nayak said, "We all know after Kharge became the party president. But, the final decision is taken by Rahul Gandhi. Even while ensuring the guarantee schemes in Karnataka were done under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, the Congress leaders themselves say that Rahul Gandhi is our leader and hence he is responsible to speak on this topic."

When media sought to know if Narendra Modi will answer the questions raised by Siddaramaiah, Prathap simha Nayak said, "The questions raised by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah have been answered.  The Congress government tries to create a narrative that BJP only supports big corporates which is false. There are a few states where there is no presence of BJP even there Adani and Ambani have been encouraged by the Congress to open shop. The Congress party should answer how did HAL, BSNL which were almost bankrupt during their tenure is making profit. The banking sector is profitable because of NPA introduced by the BJP government and we believe that children, women, men and senior citizens are the real caste of humans."

RC Narayan, Raj Gopal Pai and others were present
