Mangaluru: Mareena Seema Sequeira awarded with PhD degree

Mangaluru, Feb 13: Mareena Seema Sequeira, assistant professor of English at Trisha College of Commerce and Management, Mangaluru is awarded Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in English by Rayalaseema University, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh for her thesis titled 'Factors affecting reading comprehension in English among the first-year pre-university students - A study in Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka state'.

She did her doctoral study under the guidance of Dr A Lourdusami, head and dean PG department of English (retired), St Aloysius College, Mangaluru.

She is the distinguished toastmaster of Mangaluru Toastmasters club and the wife of Dr Manuel Tauro, dean of commerce at St Aloysius (Deemed to be University) Mangaluru.
